Your best chance of gaining a spot on the roster is by registering 3-weeks prior to the event. Rates will increase 2-weeks prior and again at 1-week prior to an event start date. Space in the event is based on the staff we have available and the capacity of the space/resort.

About This Assessment
The Cross Country Children's Specialist 1 evaluates your readiness to demonstrate competency in XC Children's Specialist 1 against the PSIA-AASI National Certification Standards. Led by certified PSIA-AASI Western Region examiners, this assessment covers Professionalism & Self-Management, People Skills, Teaching Skills, and Technical Skills as applicable to this level. Passing earns your XC Children's Specialist 1 credential.
Who Should Register
This assessment is for Cross Country instructors who have completed prerequisite preparation and are ready to demonstrate competency at the XC Children's Specialist 1 standard.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Current PSIA-AASI membership
- Cross Country Level 1 certification
Recommended Preparation:
- Review the Performance Guide and Certification Standards at thesnowpros.org
- Attend preparatory clinics offered by PSIA-AASI Western Region
What to Bring
- Relevant Performance Guide (available at thesnowpros.org)
- Certification Standards document for your discipline and level
- Appropriate equipment for all terrain included in the assessment
