Course Description:

About This Assessment

The Telemark Level 1 Assessment evaluates your readiness to demonstrate competency in Telemark Level 1 against the PSIA-AASI National Certification Standards. Led by certified PSIA-AASI Western Region examiners, this assessment covers Professionalism & Self-Management, People Skills, Teaching Skills, and Technical Skills as applicable to this level. Passing earns your Telemark Level 1 certification.

Who Should Register

This assessment is for Telemark instructors who have completed prerequisite preparation and are ready to demonstrate competency at the Telemark Level 1 standard.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Current PSIA-AASI membership

• Ability to safely ski all terrain through easy Black Diamond in telemark style

Recommended Preparation:

• Review the Performance Guide and Certification Standards at thesnowpros.org

• Attend preparatory clinics offered by PSIA-AASI Western Region

What to Bring

• Relevant Performance Guide (available at thesnowpros.org)

• Certification Standards document for your discipline and level

• Appropriate equipment for all terrain included in the assessment
