Your best chance of gaining a spot on the roster is by registering 3-weeks prior to the event.  Rates will increase 2-weeks prior and again at 1-week prior to an event start date.  Space in the event is based on the staff we have available and the capacity of the space/resort.

About This Webinar

PSIA-AASI Western Region webinars are one-hour online sessions designed to deepen your knowledge and support your development as a snowsports professional -- all from the comfort of home. Each session is 1 CEU. Adolescents and young adults are some of the most dynamic students in the lesson environment. This webinar explores how the CAP model applies to teens and young adults, and how to engage this age group with skill and confidence.

What You Will Gain

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  •       Apply CAP principles to learners ages 13-30

  •       Identify the key developmental shifts that occur in adolescence and early adulthood

  •       Adapt lesson approach and communication to this age group


What to Expect

  •       Overview of CAP framework applied to teens and young adults

  •       Discussion of identity, motivation, risk-taking, and peer influence in this age group

  •       Practical strategies for building rapport and effective lessons with adolescents
