Join the Western Medical Advisory Task Force, a panel of PSIA-AASI members, as they share their professional knowledge to help advise us with ideas on how to run on-snow clinics and exams and what protocols we can use for teaching guests.The January 28, 2021 webinar is an update on the
webinar held on November 12, 2021.
The Medical Advisory Task Force will cover updates and new information which includes changes in recommendations relating to personal protective equipment, isolation, and quarantine, and vaccines and testing.
Libbie Sheldon, MT(ASCP), CLS, MS has been a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for over 30 years, with a focus on clinical laboratory management, testing, and test validation. Her expertise includes clinical trials and flu vaccine development. Libbie is a ski instructor and trainer at Northstar and a PSIA-AASI Western Division Examine.
Stephanie Scott, MD is a family practice physician with Kaiser Permanente in Oakland and one of Kaiser’s outpatient COVID-19 experts tasked with answering questions from Kaiser physicians on symptoms, management, testing, and almost every aspect of COVID-19. Stephanie has worked in drive through swabbing clinics and respiratory tents and has been on the front lines of the pandemic. Stephanie is a children’s ski instructor at Alpine Meadows. She lives in San Francisco with her teenaged daughters.
Khoa Nguyen, MD is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician working at Kaiser Sacramento and Kaiser Roseville since 2002. As an ER physician, he is active in diagnosing, answering questions, and treating COVID-19 patients. Khoa is a part-time Level 3 ski instructor and trainer at Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows.
Steve Chin, MD is a residency-trained, board-certified, emergency physician. He is a graduate of California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA and the Johns Hopkins
University School of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 1990 and since that time has been an attending emergency physician at PIH Health Hospital in Whittier and, now, in Downey, California. He has served as the hospital disaster medical director for over 20 years and has been working in the hospital’s command center since the beginning of the Covid19 pandemic. Steve is a PSIA- AASI Level 2 Telemark and Level 1 Adaptive instructor and an alpine ski patrolman at Big Bear Mountain Resort in southern California.
Moderator: Francine Tone. Attorney, Business Strategist, Leadership Trainer, Certified Emotional Intelligence Consultant. Fran is a Level 3 Ski Instructor and delivers leadership and people skills training to PSIA-AASI National and Division audiences including leaders of snowsports schools, education staff, general membership and boards of directors, both on and off the snow.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS ROUND TABLE
OCTOBER 21st at 5:30-6:30pm
Meet the 2020-21 Western Board and hear the skillsets and professional knowledge they share at the board level. Find out what each board members’ roles and responsibilities are with the new government policy management structure, with a review of the past and what exists today.
The Chair, Greg Lyons, and Vice Chair, Blaine Lomen, will present a brief history of the Board, how the board directly affects the members, along with the relationship between the Education Foundation and the Western Division.
The Board will share their views of their #1 priority and the Ends (goals) of the Organization.
Find out what committees exist at the board level in which members can volunteer to be apart of and the skill sets that our current board is looking to recruit to help compliment our Organization Ends.
Neil Bussiere, our National Representative on the board, will discuss how across the nation we have committed to our members to collaborate, communicate, and consolidate with all divisions that we are one National Organization.
Our Board then wants to hear from you and is open to answer questions and receive comments.
