A New Chapter for PSIA-AASI West: A Message from Marisa Cooper

Dear Western Members,

After four rewarding seasons of growth, innovation, and partnership, and a great deal of reflection, I have decided to step down from my role as CEO of PSIA-AASI West. I wanted you to hear directly from me, member to member, about what I believe we have accomplished together, and what I hope comes next.

I am immensely proud of what we built together. Over the past four years, our region achieved historic milestones: record event participation, expanded certification pathways, sound financial reserves, a stronger, more welcoming community for instructors across the region and strong partnerships with National and other regions. This was made possible by the tireless dedication of our staff, the passion of our education teams, and the commitment of our member schools.

In my years, I have also had the pleasure of working closely with Lynnea and witnessing her passion and dedication. With her operational leadership, I am confident the region will continue to lead with rigor, educational excellence, and a deep love for teaching snowsports.

Thank you for your trust, your camaraderie, and the honor of serving as your CEO. I look forward to seeing you out on the mountain.

With gratitude,

Marisa Cooper
